The Homework Center: This site allows students to search for information in reference books parents may not have available at home -- almanacs, the Columbia Encyclopedia and Infoplease Dictionary—in just one click. It also has links to other reference helps and if you can't find the answer, there's even a link to someone you can ask. Schoolwork.UGH! This site is designed for middle and high school students who want to easily find links to sites that will easily help them with almost any subject -- from grammar and foreign languages to music and sciences. You will find links to information on government, math, philosophy, art, history, drugs, sports, mythology, computers, and much more. Spark Notes: This site was created by Harvard University students and alumni, and consists of a collection of free online study guides to approximately 100 literary classics that are often studied in high school and college. Each Spark note has sections on background information, characters, an overall summary, chapter by chapter summaries and commentaries, study questions, and a message board where you can discuss the book with others. Lest you think this is a good substitute for actually reading books, consider that you are the loser if you rob yourself of the opportunity to interact with the world's great writers first hand.
